AnyWare
includes
MindTel's interface software for human-computer interaction. The current
flagship software is NeatTools,
a modular, multiplatform visual-programming environment.
The
example shown below is the JoyMouse
Network, which allows the user to position the mouse cursor via a
custom
or computer joystick. To construct such a network, one drags and drops
various modules (objects) from toolboxes (palettes) onto the desktop, and
then interconnects them with links. Properties of objects can be changed
by a right mouse click. In this way one can construct sophisticated
data-flow
networks without writing any lines of code. For an inverse chronological
record of the development of NeatTools,
which
is still under development, see
Yuh-Jye Chang's Work
Page.
A Shockwave tutorial developed by Jeff Sale is available via the
NeatTools
download
page. NeatTools works in conjunction with our custom computer-interface
boxes described under AnyWear.
